What's crazy about this is that the TEN franchise owns the right to those unis and trademarks but they will never wear the old Oiler Blue Colors.
Former Oilers team owner Bud Adams uprooted the franchise and relocated to TEN in 1997 when Houston denied building a new stadium. 27 Years Ago!
The franchise dropped the Oilers team name and began anew as the Titans in 1999. 25 Years Ago!
The right thing to do would be for the league to have both teams make a deal for the colors to revert back to Houston where they belong. Offer TEN a few bucks.
The Texans could then wear those colors once a year in honor of the prior Houston franchise, if not in a regular season game, in a pre-season game.
The only fan base that has any emotional attachment to those colors are people that live in and around Houston. Most of those folks who might care are now old.
