2024 Tropical Weather Thread

This sounds incredibly familiar right down to the 2 yr old and wife while wondering if I would have a job in the future and if I would get a paycheck to pay the bills that were due in a few days. I recall being more or less paralyzed for 4 or 5 days. And that was without still being in the disaster area with limited access to food, water, and electricity. I know it was much worse for so many then and so many now.

And yeah, I'm feeling some PSTD just thinking about it again.

and we had just moved into new house we bought June of 2005 in Madisonville. We actually were moving in the weekend of when i think it was TS Charlotte made landfall.

Hell, Sat morning- 8/28 - Hurwitz Mintz delivery truck showed up at 9 am to deliver living room- I said " ummm dude yall not listening to radio?!??!" take the furniture back to warehouse and get yalls selves out of New Orleans. Im not taking delivery. Poor guy had no clue what was going on. We were on the road out not 2 hrs later.

yeah maybe a SR.Com fundraiser in order for a small town that could use it? or maybe WCK?

i dont know the first thing about setting up a fundraiser. But ill certainly contribute
