He doesn’t have to stay on that contract. He would know and any team trading for him would know he’s getting a new contract, the fact that he still would have 2 years on the deal though would give the trading team time and leverage to work out the deal.

As pointed out above, something similar to the Diggs deal is what it would take, especially if we have to get LV to eat the amount of money needed to make it happen.
