It’s not about just getting someone bc he’s available. We have 2 small bodied WRs who are great in their roles but cant consistently win 50/50s. We’ve had a few missed TDs in our 2 losses where having Adams be the target instead of Sheed or Olave would’ve most likely resulted in TDs and thus wins. If either of our 2 starters miss time, which is extremely likely, then we have no offensive weapons to replace them.

I've heard all this before. Year after year.

There's no guarantee that another receiver makes the catches you're anecdotally relying on as evidence.

Additionally, every single position in the NFL could say 'if a starter misses time...'. You don't have the luxury of starter redundancy in this league. I'm frankly bored of pointing that out.
