Now if you're talking that WE would be restructuring it and taking the cap hit later then you would be correct. But that would make an already terrible cap situation in 2025 even worse. Remember, we are going to be dealing with Cam, Ramczyk, Lattimore, AK, and others. I don't think it's worth it.

From what I understand, converting salary to roster bonus doesn’t change the cash payment schedule for the converted amount (would be paid weekly just like salary), and the club isn’t obligated to pay the player any sooner even if they are released or traded. The cap charges will accelerate, but not the actual cash payments.
