Better chance isn't a guarantee. Your own bias is showing in deciding he's going to make those plays, just because it's what you'd prefer to think will happen.
That doesn't move the needle enough to make the cost (salary cap, not just draft capital) worthwhile. Clearly our opinions differ on that point, so I don't expect us to agree.
I haven't mentioned OL by the way, but it's fair to say I do think there would be better ways to improve this team than adding another WR to the two starters we already have, on a team that wants to run the ball first and foremost. To say that those better options aren't available now, so get a WR instead, ignores the fact that you'd tie up future cap and draft capital that could later be spent on those necessary improvements. The cost has implications that are unpalatable.
