The problem is teams aren’t making starting caliber OL available unless they’re deep at the position. They’d deplete their own OL depth and become thin for a possible early draft pick who can’t play on their line during the season after sending a good OL out.
We already have multiple JAG interior OL who are serviceable level in the run and pass, sometimes good in some weeks because of the scheme. OL who are currently available in trade probably aren’t better than who we have. OL trades aren’t happening unless it’s guys who move the needle or if there’s two OL starters missing extended time in McCoy’s timetable.
Adams is a unique trade circumstance because he wants out of Vegas and he’d elevate the Saints thin receiving options. Saints showed prior interest.
Teams have to be willing to shop players around like Adams or a John Ridgeway for trades to come to life at other positions.
