I just don't know how to feel about this. Part of me says to hell with it, yolo, let's get him. That's the emotional Who Dat in me. Real life Madden baby! Let's go! Davante Adams is awesome!
But the rational side of me is like, what are we talking about right now? How is this a thing? This isn't Madden. We can't be out there making trades willy nilly. Our cap is a wreck and I don't think this will help. Davante Adams is great and all but if our O line can't protect Carr then how much of a difference can a WR make?
So I've prepared two reactions. If we do indeed trade for Adams it will be the single greatest trade in Saints history. We got him for a bargain when you really think about it. The NFC is wide open and with Adams we could very well win the whole damn thing.
If he goes somewhere else then thank god. We dodged a bullet on this one. They gave up way too much for a 31 year old WR on a mega deal. Once again some team saved the Saints from themselves. With our O line issue we were going to be a legitimate contender.
