Congrats to Taysom Hill for moving up all time franchise total TD list

Lance only had 391 Touches in his career (last 2 seasons with other franchises) so he doesn't show up on many leader boards. (Lance 0.1151 TDs/Touch) - Taysom has 490 touches so TH7 didn't get there in less touches. But still mighty impressive.

Lance Moore played 101 games as a Saint. Taysom passed him up while playing in his 100th game.

Not to take anything away from Lance Moore. He was a 1st down machine with 66% of his receptions going for 1st downs.

However, he wasn't as clutch as a Saints player as most fondly remember. He caught 346 out of 518 targets, a mere 67% catch rate.

That number doesn't compare to the NFL Top 25 All Time, much less MT13, #1 in NFL History @ 76%.

And while you used number of touches to make a case, LMoe had 587 Receiving Targets and 2 Rushing Attempts while in NOLA, a Total of 589 opportunities.

TH7 has 412 Rushing Attempts and 103 Receiving Targets, a Total of 515 opportunities, 74 less than Moore.

Also, Hill has a Career Catch Rate of 75.7%, just a fraction lower than the All-Time NFL Best.

Lance scored 38 of his 39 TDs Receiving. It's much easier to score TDs receiving than it is rushing.

There's certainly less traffic and contact in the receiving game than in the running game.

A better comparison would be looking at the career of Taysom Hill, Pierre Thomas, and Dalton Hilliard as Saints players, all of them making their mark as runners.

Pierre Thomas - 105 games as a Saint. 818 Rushing Attempts. Twice as many as Hill. 389 Receiving Targets. Almost 4 times as many as Hill. Hill just passed PT up.

Dalton Hilliard - 108 games as a Saint. 1126 Rushing Attempts. Almost 3 times as many as Hill. Receiving Targets Unknown. 249 Receptions. 2.5 more than Hill.

For a Part-Time "Gadget" Player, a solid argument can be made that Taysom Hill has made the most out of his opportunities than any Saints player in franchise history.

Case Closed.
