Kinda glad my company’s brand new travel restrictions nixed the Saudi trip I was planning.. though the area I would be visiting is rather safe…

Years ago, and I remember it as clearly as yesterday, I was headed to the airport on my way to Oman, UAE… 7am news came over the radio.. “Tensions are high in the Middle East, the USS Cole has just been bombed..” … Trip went well, but there was a distinct edginess amongst everyone the whole time…
