Adams will be 32 in Dec. if we trade #2 for him it will likely be a lower rd 2. We will rework his remaining contract to probably a 2yr deal with an option for a 3rd. So we will have him for the rest of this yr (31) next yr (32) and 26 (33). Adams has been quite durable in his career and really has shown no signs of slowing down. He has been and still is a top 5-6 WR. But he is a top 2 or 3 WR for our offense because he gets open and makes the contested catch.
It makes sense to pull the trigger even for a 2nd due to 1st not having a player of his caliber available to us both in a trade or in the draft, AND due to the window for quite a few of our better players. Getting Adams puts us in the position to be contenders THIS yr and for the next 2 yrs. Just look at the NFC and tell me I'm wrong
