I wonder if the saints picked up Da, then let him walk after this year, that the Saints would gain a compensatory pick (3rd round) like San Fran did when they signed Chase Young mid year? Getting a 3rd back could offset the 3rd we’d give up.
We would have to rework his contract to void after this year, which he won’t do unless we give him a lot of extra cash this year (unlikely). If he changes his deal at all, it will be probably be for more future guarantees in 2025 and beyond.
