A.T. Perry waived (Unclaimed off waivers); Perry signs to the Broncos practice squad

Where did you hear/see this report? It seems that every time there's an intriguing udfa or middle-low draft choice, the reason they're not playing is because of their inability to learn the playbook.
Long ago we had a back named Wilmont Perry. He was tough and somewhat reminded you of Eddie George because of his style. The "rumor" why he didn't play or last is because he couldn't learn the playbook.
Well you have to be brainless if you couldn't learn Abramowicz's high school offense.

I think something that gets taken for granted/overlooked is that most NFL players are not just great athletes, but they are absolute football geniuses. NFL playbooks are extremely complex, with extreme levels of details and layers.

Not every great athlete can just pick it up and learn it and apply it while also using their skills to make plays. It doesn’t make them dumb, it kind of makes them more “normal.”

As is obvious, not everyone is cut out to be a NFL player, and that doesn’t all have to do merely with athletic ability. You also have to be a football genius while also running and competing.

NFL players in press conference discuss the game with reporters and really dumb it down for the audience, but they’re all masterminds, or most of them are, I should say. Many of the late round/UDFAs types aren’t masterminds.
