It's the Saints’ ownership.....

Well, SP also said in an interview, that the Broncos owners had “power”, or something to that effect. So, yes, that is a level of shade. Personally I don’t think he was burnt out. I think he wanted to go to a place where he could have some people behind him, that would challenge Goodell if he ever needed it. If not, then why make that “power” comment on record.

If he wasn't burnt out and still wanted to coach, why not just demand a trade to another team instead of retiring and taking a year off to do TV. Call it burn out or he wanted to try something new, but it wasn't because he had issues with ownership or the front office. Otherwise why do the big nostalgic press conference?

I don't recall the "power" comment but I think any comment he made was about the jobs that were available at the time and why he would want one of those jobs as opposed to a shot at Gayle or the Saints. And again, when Sean is angry or wants to be petty, he doesn't hide it. He shouts it for the world to hear. If he had issues with Saints ownership or the front office, he would have long ago aired that dirty laundry in public either on his daughter's podcast or through a leak by Prisco.
