The only exception that I can see where money may not have anything to do with it could be the Cleveland Browns. They are keeping Watson in there because they are paying him a stupid amount of money. And he quit on the team on TV!!

He may get yanked in the next two to three weeks if he continues to stink it up.

Back here, Rattler, in my opinion, would have to play lights out for him to take the starting job. A team doesn't shell out that much money to have a guy sit.

If he plays well enough to make them think about it they can just slow roll Carr’s return.

But if Rattler can take the job, don’t think they wouldn’t love to unload Carr’s salary the next couple of years in favor of a guy on a rookie 5th round contract. That could help clean up a lot of the salary cap mess.
