Congrats to Taysom Hill for moving up all time franchise total TD list

Definitely agreed.

I wasn't trying to say Lance was better, I was just interested in the concept of touches to TDs as suggested by tinman.
I almost switched to targets myself but then found it wasn't a helpful comparison to pre 90s players that don't have a metric for targets.

Touches/TDs is sort of a Lynn Swann, Cliff Branch, Charlie Joiner, Cris Carter metric.

In running through the TDs/touches numbers it came pretty clear why Paul Warfield often finds his way unto the greatest receiver lists.

Out of curiosity do you have a reference for Receptions/Target leaderboard? (Too much math/data gathering for me to do on my own)

Still 66.3% cant be bad considering Drew had a completion % of 67.7 ( a near all-time career high)

Sproles only had a short stint with us but seems like he was fairly effective in the time period as well.

All Good!

I was just refuting your statement that Hill didn't get there with as many touches or games for that matter as Moore, When In Fact He Did.

To be clear, Lance Moore was a vital part of the Saints receiving corps during his time here even if mostly a 3rd receiving option in the lineup. No doubt!

No on the question about Receptions/Target Leaderboard. It does take a lot of time to look things up.

The problem is most sources don't have the full data going back beyond 2000.

Even the NFL has limited information available on statistics beyond the basics when dating back prior to 1950.

A good example of that is the NFL didn't begin officially recording sacks as a stat until 1982.
