J. D. Miller's Recording Studios in Crowley, LA is another famous recording studio that I only learned about in recent years. While helping mostly local talent get their start, they also had some mainstream artists like Paul Simon & John Fogerty record there.

Continuing on this theme, i- again, being slow on the uptake- fairly only recently learned that one of my favorite Paul McCartney & Wings songs - Listen to What the Man Said - was recorded at the old Sea Saint studios in Gentilly.. i would have only been a baby when it occurred , but i still have a little extra appreciation for that song when i hear it, knowing that backstory .
