I would be shocked if Gayle lives outside New Orleans. I am not saying she doesn't have a house somewhere else (and I have no knowledge that she does). But she is totally committed to the city.
Again, my sense is that she is isolated and allows Dennis Lauscha (who follows her around when she is on the sideline before every game) and Mickey Loomis to run the show. I wish she had truly business relationships with Lauscha and Loomis, but those relationships seem intensely personal. Lauscha is the team's president, and Loomis holds the titles executive vice president and general manager, so technically Lauscha is Loomis's boss. But I doubt that on football issues Loomis reports to Lauscha. Loomis does what he wants and seems answerable only to Gayle. So does Gayle have access to outside voices? I doubt it. The Saints are an incredibly insular organization that does whatever it wants.
