Maybe Jon Gruden ends up being Saints HC?

Well you make a great distinction. You're showing the difference between Rah Rah and passion. I agree we need a passionate coach. People loved playing for 3G. And Rex Ryan. You need a coach that the players love playing for. Ie “run through a wall” All the guys you mentioned are taken. Who out there besides Gruden (he’s not really an option, just an example) would be available to coach the Saints? Or better yet, which available coach do you believe has the best chance to motivate our current decimated offense? (This question isnt redundant. This year we’re going through the worst case scenario in the amount of adversity. It’s this amount of adversity that should be a measuring stick when choosing a head coach) I want the guy that when I have 8 starters out on O, that the new guys, it doesn’t matter who they are, because they are ALL dying to run through a wall for you. If you have a roster full of these guys, then there’s no adversity that can shake you.

I guess Rizzi seems like that kind of guy. But I'm sure there are other guys that are OCs or DCs right now that share that passion. We just don't know about them because we don't hear from them and we don't get to interview them like NFL teams do.

But maybe Kingsbury is that type of guy and I would bet Aaron Glenn is that type of guy. But, it's also possible that Ben Johnson and Slowik are too. I don't really know what kind of passion either has, but I do know that both have developed guys into very good QBs and that their offensive schemes work. And frankly, I would bet that every guy that is a coordinator, assistant coach, or head coach in the NFL has passion for the game. You don't get where they are if you don't. Some guys just aren't good at motivating others, organizing a group of people, or leading them.
