You didn't tip for X in 2003 or 2013 -- should you tip for X in 2023?
but yet that person is the first one to blame the server if any of the above is an issue..
not cooked right, servers fault. out of an item on the menu, servers fault, taste different than last time, servers fault, the buisness is run bad and coordination is poor, servers fault..
I tip at sit down and order places better than i do places where you order at the counter.
I got food from Spectacular Tubers for pick up, i was getting lunch of the 4 people who work under me, so 5 orders all together. Was there as soon as they unlocked the door. But only one employee was there. she took the big order, cooked all the food and brought it all out to us. also while taking a couple other orders and answering the phone. she was hustling. so she deserved a more than just a few dollar tip that i would normally do for to go order. i tipped her 15%.
But i am not tipping for someone to hand me a pretzel out of the warmer box...
