Israel (now broader Mid East discussion)

How origional.

Your argument is tired. It do not care. You and I have different views on the value of human life.

It appears that you have attempted to anthropomorphise my argument. I don't think arguments get tired, nor do they have feelings.

I didn't make an argument, nor have I picked sides in this war. I pointed out a difficulty you have with your talking point 40,000 innocent death number.

Apparently you and I now have different views on the value of human life.

I don't assign a value to human life, human life is not a thing, things are things which have values assigned to them.

I guess one could chuckle over the priceless nature of human life.

I do know that you didn't come up with that 40,000 of "innocents" number in your own. It's in the Torah, in the book of numbers, 40,000 is the number of a people, a nation, roughly the number of persons in each of 12 named tribes when they were with Moses out in the desert for 40 long years. It comes from numerology in the bible, not what has happened in Gaza.

For Jews 4, and multiples of 4 are symbolic numbers. Think about the biblical metaphor that 40,000 innocents have been killed sets up.

That pro-palestinian persons have plucked that symbolic number from the Jewish Torah, instead of say using say a valid number for the number who have actually died in Gaza, is fairly understandable as a slur.

It's a number plucked from the Torah which was then used in a made up emotional argument.

So to conclude, this time I did make an argument, an argument that 40,000 is a religiously symbolic number to Jews, which was more than likely plucked from the bible rather than it being a valid number of the dead. It's purpose is emotional.

I still haven't picked sides.
