Reign of Terror is over! Pelicans leaves BallySports.

Ok so let me preface what I’m gonna say with, I don’t watch much TV other than sports which most of the time are on the cable channels I have or my ESPN watch app. I’m not tech savvy at all. I have seen a lot of people say, in different forums, they are happy about the pelicans getting away from Ballys. It may be a good thing, I don’t really know. I live in Slidell, La. and in years past, I would turn my TV to channel 36 and the pelicans game would be on, no issues. Is that not how this new channel works?
No longer on any cable channels unless cable decides to start picking up digital channels from local networks.

Is the channel not carried by spectrum?
Nope

I can’t seem to get a good answer from friends I’ve asked. Some mention having to have an antenna,
This is the best least expensive option for those in good coverage areas.

some say NBA app and some say get pelicans plus.
These are both options if you don't mind coughing up $15 - $20 a month.

If that’s the case, My question is, who is this easier/better for and why is it better? Not saying it isn’t, just need to know why. Thanks!
The BallysSports RSN was very limited in its reach, especially since many people have ditched cable for streaming. IIRC, it was only about 1.5 million. With the new deal, the Pelicans can potentially reach 7 million people with just the use of an antenna.

It's a win-win for the team and the fans.
