Time to get some guys back from Injury and make a run

that's what makes this season so interesting/bad science experiment
many said an OC change is what this team really needed
we did that and destroyed 2 teams at beginning of season (turns out to be one very bad and one very mediocre team)
then all **** breaks loose
so we have evidence - we get to argue how compelling that evidence is - but we do have evidence

so is DA bad or is he like the unluckiest coach ever?
or a bit of both?

It could be both.

Honestly, I think DA is a mediocre head coach. He will largely get you the results that the talent on your team says you should get with a game or two variance one way or the other based on luck/injuries.

This year with the unprecedented injuries we have it's probably a net of two lost games due to luck/injury or maybe three. So, IMO, that likely means that this potentially 9-8 or 10-7 team ends up around 7-10.

IMO that means it's time to move on from DA and has been time for a year or two. You don't want to have your season dependent on injury luck. I think they need to keep hiring head coaches until they find one that can get better results than the talent he has dictates. That to me is how you really make your team a contender. Because the NFL is designed for parity with maybe 2 games separating mediocre teams from good teams, the difference to large extent comes from who is your head coach and can he get the team to play better than the sum of it's parts.

The other wild card IMO that gets teams out of the mediocre level that the NFL is designed for is a franchise QB. And we need to keep drafting QBs until we are sure we have one of those too.
