I was big fan of Nic Scourton when he was at Purdue. Then he transferred to A&M he kind of git a rough patch after the week 1 game vs ND. Weeks went by, then i watched A&M vs ARK. Dude! Scourton literally took over that game & sealed the deal on ARK’s do or die final possession.
Ive watched football for as along as i can remember, & ive havent seen a guy dominate a game as throughly as Scourton did vs ARK in a longtime. He had 2sacks, one on a 3rd down, & a sack strip/fumble to seal the W. His pressure ability is exactly what dont have on D. Scourton has violent hands, speed to power, spin moves, & a nasty bullrush. & the dude is 6’5 280. He reminds me a lot of Justin Houston, but bigger & more athletic.
Abdul Carter, Mykel Williams, & James Pearce are some of the other popular names at EDGEs who could go high, but theyre all lighter guys in the 250-260 range. I think Pearce is even lighter, in the 240s. If we’re drafting in the top 10, lose out or pass on Tetairoa Mcmillan, i hope our guy’s Nic Scourton.
