If Carr can’t go next week, Haener should get the start.

The point in Haener starting was to have a better chance at winning. Most people have agreed(as well as most analysts and post game Grading services) that Haener looks more ready to be in the no win situation. You play to win the game, you don't play it just to play it. The play book noticeably opened up with Haener in.. he handled it as well as he could with the defense knowing he was going to be forced to throw nearly every down. The ball was out quick, he was calling out defenses presnap, but please do tell me how they didn't "look that different"

when asked about the Offense not improving when some key players returned DA said what we all have been saying.....

so yes, It is very likely that Haener would have also lost every game that he would have started... BUT we would have had a Better chance to win had he started...

100%

You can still be high on Rattler's upside and the chance that he will develop into something pretty terrific over the next year or two [See Jordan Love. He supposedly looked awful his first training camp and year.] while acknowledging that Haener is further along right now and would have given the team a better chance at getting a win over the last few games.
