It makes some sense to trade older players on the last year of their deal if you aren't brining them back, but it makes no sense to trade good younger players that you want to keep.

Definitely. If we can get picks for Jordan, Mattieu, DD....go for it. But we've drafted so poorly recently that I don't think trading the few good young players we have for draft picks would be smart. I would trade Chase Young since I've seen enough to know I don't want to give him an extension.
