Should have kept Jameis
Did you see the play BEFORE he threw the game winning td?
This. It was the full Jameis Winston Experience in two consecutive plays.
- airmailed throw over his receiver straight to the safety despite having a clean pocket
- huge bomb for a late lead changing TD
He can make some amazing throws, but will make just as many boneheaded throws as well.
There's a lot of "oh the Browns' defense dropped multiple Lamar Jackson's potential INT's in that game too" but fail to acknowledge that Jackson's errant, near INT's were at the following times:
- 10:15 left in the 1st quarter, Ravens didn't even score this drive and turned the ball over on downs anyway
- 9:32 left in the 2nd quarter, Ravens again didn't score on the drive and punted the next play
They weren't with the Browns trailing with the game on the line and roughly a minute left like the one above specifically; the Ravens had a lot of football ahead of them had the Browns secured those interceptions and they only scored a combined 6 points off those drives anyway.
And if we're talking about dropped interceptions, why not include the pass from Jackson that Bateman lost in the sun and hit him directly in the face? Would've been at minimum a 50-yd reception (putting the Ravens in position to tie the game at worst) or quite possibly an 85-yd TD and taking a 24-20 lead by making one defender miss because he was wide open.
