Colts QB Anthony Richardson benched after pulling himself out of the game

What happens is they lead an average offense when the offense is capable of so much more with a real starting NFL QB. Great coaches like Tomlin recognize this and make tough decisions to find that guy and not settle for years at a time with a developmental guy when the team is ready to win now. Developing a future QB only works in very unique circumstances when you already have an established starter and should have been what we did in our last years with Drew.
They're in an exciting transition now. They thought they could go the rook rought, but Kenny was just part of a weak QB class, so they figured they would take a chance on the local kid. It will be interesting to see how the Russ/Fields thing plays out. However, you know they will always maintain a competitive team.
