I understand everyone wants blood, but I’m not giving up on our 20+ year Super Bowl winning GM just because he chose the wrong HC literally once (one recommended to him by a man he trusts in SP I should add) and is dealing with an injury-ravaged roster. He had a vision of continuing the continuity and it failed. Most GMs get at two strikes on getting the HC spot right before the team moves on.
I know this isn’t a thing in the NFL, but to me the man has earned “tenure” privileges and deserves an opportunity to fix things before being given the boot.
I think too much is made about our cap gymnastics, and that is well-documented. I just think it would be silly for us to fire Mickey based on internal factors, front office structure factors, and accounting structure factors and goals many people here don’t fully understand.
People are being emotional right now. “Fire everyone!” “The owner does nothing but take pics before games and doesn’t care!” “Sell the team!” “Mickey doesn’t know what he’s doing!”
This is our first TRULY stinker season in almost 20 years (25 years if you throw out the Katrina season)…get a grip people. 😅
