Rizzi should be the permanent Head Coach
Rizzi isn't the guy. Maybe he is the guy to slog through the next season and a half. I don't know. But we need a new GM, and that GM needs to pick his own HC. A MASSIVE part of that is the new GM. Mickey only knows old ways from old days. A relic of a bygone era. We are a sofa set covered in faded flowers and the smell of cigarettes. The entire organization. We need new and fresh. The new era needs to completely sever itself from the old one.
But we are, and should be, prepared to be terrible for the duration of the next 25 games. And that's ok. We have to be ok with being terrible. It's a necessary part of this process to clear off the full on Loomising we've experience for 4-5 years. Because those 25 games, they couldve already happened, twice. But we are here, 2-3 years too late, but we are where we need to be to resurrect this franchise. IF Loomis steps aside. Him ushering himself out or being ushered out is critical step 2 in this process.
The sunshine pumper coalition was/is fine being terrible under the facade of not being terrible. So I don't see the problem with being openly terrible. Its the means to an end. There's just no way around the band aid being ripped off and the wound taking 25 games to heal.
