Elon Musk makes $43 Billion offer for private buyout of Twitter

It's important to me. If I can't block a person or account, I'm not using the platform. Don't care if it's FB, X, IG or whatever. I don't want to see what I don't want to seen. For me, controlling my content matters.
I was being admittedly a little cheeky; but, honestly I am asking, is that how you curate your feed? I thought that's what "following" was for.

Is that different from "hiding" a post and telling face book "I do not want to see more of this"? I do that on face book to hopefully curate my feed a little but I don't "block" anyone. I don't "friend" anyone I don't know and I've only "unfriended" one person I can think of over the years. My feed is generally made up of "friends" and groups I belong to.

Now, like I said, I am not on X much so I don't know how the average person uses it. I have "followed" very few and thought that following specific people, groups, etc. was how you curated your feed.
