Chris Olave placed on IR after 2nd concussion in 2024; out at least 4 weeks per Coach Rizzi

It's a personal decision, but I would not advise a relative of mine to keep going. Brain damage is not something to be taken lightly. There us a legal element to this a well. If I'm a team and a player to continue after a certain number official concussions, I having him sign a waiver. If they have serious cognitive impairment or decline in their 40s, don't try to sue me as an organization.

At least in Louisiana, you can't waive damages for personal injury. Yes, businesses have people sign those waivers all the time but all they really do is provide evidence that you warned them which makes it harder to prove negligence, but not impossible. It also stops a lot of people from suing because they think they waived personal injury claims.
