Per Underhill from Khalen Saunders and Cam Jordan, Allen was more interested in simulated pressures than real pressures. Of course, bringing a bunch of guys to the line and then dropping most back into coverage while rushing different guys from different positions on different plays was supposed to confuse the QB, but all it did was prevent the D linemen from pinning their ears back and getting to the QB. A Saints D lineman wasn't able to get enough reps against the same O lineman so that he could set up the O lineman with different moves after bull rushing a few times. Instead, too many guys were being moved around or platooned in and out. There was no continuity. Apparently, Allen never understood that you have to establish your physical presence first before you can get exotic with pressure packages.
