Injuries are an excuse. Every single team in the NFL has had major injuries so far. No team is hollering about an injury excuse. You go out there and play to win. Next man up, is a mantra for a reason. DA was a major cancer to our team. The league knew it, the players knew it, the media knew it, and our fans should have known it. I do think the Saints had an unusual number of injuries at key positions and positions where they could least afford an injury - particularly OL and WR. And they lost their starting QB and 3 of their top 4 CBs. I think that's an unusually severe injury problem.

That being said, that's why you have to close out the Philly game and the first Atlanta game. And, a good head coach figures out how to win those two and wins one of the next 4 and does not lose to Carolina even with those injuries. With good coaching this team should be 6-4 or 5-5 even with the injuries.

Which is why despite the injuries, it was clear that DA needed to go.
