Baldy’s Breakdowns: Carr to Valdes-Scantling is the newest hottest connection in the NFL

Question for both Carr and MVS is whether those big plays were "flavor of the week" or can they be "flavor of the year." Both are streaky, hot-and-cold players, historically. Funny thing is, MVS is the closest thing they have right now to a WR1, thanks to injuries elsewhere. And the next opponent is Cleveland, a team with a similar record and led by another streaky, hot-and-cold QB, one who used to play here.
I think play design more so than a legit #1 receiver is what stirs this offense, sure you need talented players but the way Kubiak drew up some of the plays all the receiver has to do is find his designated spot and Carr hits him with the ball.
