I have been saying for a long time now that the people complaining about Carr just have an unrealistic view of what QB play looks like because they had been watching near perfect QB play for so long. It’s like they don’t watch other games closely or something.
This is what a normal “good but not HOF caliber” NFL QB looks like. They are flawed and will make head-scratching mistakes, but can make all the throws and will give you good looking stat lines more often than not. And yes, they are reliant on good supporting casts, unlike the Superhuman QB era of yesteryear, with guys like Brees, Brady, and Manning, and they indeed will need a lot of help to get them to a championship setting.
