Which Teams Do You Prefer To Win This Week (Week 11, Edition)

We enter Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season. And while about a third of the teams have no realistic chance of making the playoffs, none of them have been officially mathematically eliminated and it may still be a few more weeks before any are. About 20 of the 32 teams have a realistic chance of making the playoffs at this point. As we head into the holiday season most of the turkeys will be baked by Thanksgiving Day. Until then the show goes on.

Thursday Night Football

WAS (7-3) @ PHI (7-2)
- This is a huge NFC East matchup. The division lead is at stake. The Commandos have surprised this year so far and a large part of their success has been due to the play of their Rookie QB Jayden Daniels. At this point in the season both of these teams have a high probability of making the playoffs. Hard for me to want the Eagles to win. I'm going with the Commandos in this one and hope to see JD5 light it up tonight - Rookie of The Year!

Noon Sunday Games

GB (6-3) @ CHI (4-5)
- An NFC North matchup. The Bears need a win to stay in the Wildcard hunt. The Packers are currently the 7th seed and are still in the hunt for the division behind both the Lions and the Vikings. I'm going with the Bears in this one. They don't need to be at the top of the draft order again. More importantly, while the Saints still have a sliver of hope for the post season, it most likely would have to be as a Wildcard at this point and the Cheeseheads are one of the teams in the way of climbing the ladder to reach the 7th seed. And while it's a long shot, at least there's still a shot. The Saints get their own shot at GB in Week 16 at Lambeau.

JAX (2-8) @ DET (8-1) - An interconference matchup between the worst and the best. I prefer to see the Lions roar some more. They may be the best in the NFC.

LV (2-7) @ MIA (3-6) - An AFC matchup with two of the conference bottom dwellers. The Dolphins may be the most realistic 3-win team to make the postseason. Fish!

LAR (4-5) @ NE (3-7) - If there's ever a week to be Patriotic it's this week. The Rams started 1-4 and looked done early only to win 3 straight before losing last week. The Rams definitely have the most talent between the two teams. It would be great to see New England get the upset at home. Saints host the Rams in Week 13.

BAL (7-3) @ PIT (7-2) - A huge AFC North matchup between the division leaders. The winner controls the division for the time being. I'm down for the Steelers!

MIN (7-2) @ TEN (2-7) - The Vikings and the Lions somehow get to play the JV squads this week. Haven't liked the Queens since the Purple People Eater days. Titans!

IND (4-6) @ NYJ (3-7) - An AFC matchup with two teams struggling to stay off the bottom. I'd prefer to see the Colts win in this one to stay alive for a Wildcard spot.

CLE (2-7) @ NO (3-7) - The Saints need to win out to have any chance of the postseason and even then, it's no guarantee. This like all others ahead is a must win.

Late Sunday Afternoon Games

ATL (6-4) @ DEN (5-5)
- Hopefully the smoke-filled stadium will have the Clowns a mile high. Let Payton light the match and burn ATL to the ground. Bang A Bong!

SEA (4-5) @ SF (5-4) - A huge NFC West matchup with both trailing the Red Birds in the division. I'd prefer to see the Seagulls squeak out a win in this one.

KC (9-0) @ BUF (8-2) - The game of the week matchup between the two best AFC teams to this point. May be best chance to give the Chiefs a loss. Go Bills!

Sunday Night Football

CIN (4-6) @ LAC (6-3) -
An AFC matchup. Bolts have looked the part lately, Bengies not so much. I'd prefer to see Joe and Chase get back in the hunt. Go Cincy!

Monday Night Football

HOU (6-4) @ DAL (3-6)
- A big Texas showdown. One team has risen from the mat in just 3 years with a QB on a rookie contract while the other has fallen flat while having the highest paid QB in the league who is now on injured reserve. How the mighty have fallen. Well, might tee in Big D. Go Texans! Do it in Jerrah's house.

Any thoughts?
