He is for me. I'll even lower the bar to 5-3, as long as those 3 losses aren't ALL to the perceived playoff-contender/winning teams (Rams, Commanders & Packers). Considering the remaining teams on schedule include the Browns, Giants, Raiders & Bucs...with the Falcons already disposed of....that's a gauntlet of teams with losing records or in disarray. Those are teams DA would normally beat, with the Bucs being a toss-up, so I expect Rizzi to at least match that. If he doesn't, he's not the guy, no matter how much I like him. Otherwise, this is how I see it:

• If Rizzi goes 4-4, that sounds like a middling DA performance, with Rizzi having "stole" one against the Falcons to end a horrific skid. Kudos for that, though!
• If Rizzi goes 5-3, that sounds like a middling DA performance (see above) against "losers", with losses to the 3 winning contenders (also sounds like DA)
• If Rizzi is competitive in ALL 3 games against the "contenders" and somehow steals a victory from one of those, even if he stubs his toe on a lesser opponent (perhaps Bucs?), this is my threshold to remove the interim tag.
• If Rizzi goes 6-2, 7-1, or (gasp) goes 8-0 during his stint, just name the dude HC and ask him what he needs to build on THAT performance. And give it to him!

I don't get a say with the Saints org, so this is JMO...
