Jameis Winston played a heck of a game against the Saints!!!

As a Saban hater, I can appreciate what he brought to Bama, even though I hate everything Bama (and LSU and every other SEC team..lol). Us Auburn fans should have appreciated the 9-4 records we used to get with Gus (even though he ruined Jeremy Johnson).

But I get exactly what you are saying. Spoiled is the only way that we could put it. Crazy thing is some of us still can't be objective regarding the totality of Drew, so we always used the image of Drew we build in our head to compare other QBs to. I called this the "Deification of Drew" a few years back. I appreciate what Winston brought to the table and he will always have a "what if" attached to him here and I appreciate what DC4 is doing. Trying to compare them to Drew was always a disservice to them both, considering we never took into account the stability that Drew (and all other greats) had.
It’s odd, as LSU fans were expecting Saban teams year after year, which is ridiculous. We always think we can compete with Bama until we actually play them. With the Saints, it seems the next QB or two gets smoked for just being the guy after the guy. I think Carr is dealing with this too. Otherwise I can’t justify the amount of literal hate he gets, even outside of this forum. So that has to be the reason, that and his rep was tainted by reporters at the time the fans were formulating their opinion. Or they are anti Christ, I’m mostly serious. Maybe because he’s Christian he appears weak to the livid haters. I can understand a level of dislike, becaue he’s not the best Qb ever, but it’s way beyond that. I’d say most likely it’s the Drew effect.
