I would go w/Scourton. Pearce is a speed based rusher whose size & skillset are nearly identical to Randy Gregory’s. He flashes speed to power, but he’s very inconsistent in that regard. He’s just not strong or violent enough at the POA to disengage w/blockers when they get their hands on him. Pearce wins w/twitch & speed off the snap. His best fit would be as a 3-4 OLB, or a designated pressure specialist in a 4-3 rotation.

Scourton, on the other hand is the more complete player. What he may lack in pure athleticism compared tonPearce, he more than makes up w/strength, hand violence, technique & an array of rush moves & counters.l. Scourton does exactly what Pearce does, which is rush the passer, but he’s also a bonafide force vs the run. On top of that, Scourton is 285 to Pearce’s 240. So, on that note i’d go w/Scourton all the way.
