Future WR core

Corps - they are part of an army, not the middle of an apple.

And the corps is weak without a dominant #1 (which Olave barely was anyway). Shaheed and MVS are fine at #2/#3. The others are just guys. Despite glaring needs elsewhere, we will need to draft a WR.

Agreed. I wouldn't count on Pettis for much of anything. He has some talent and I thought he was going to be really good coming out of Washington, but he's never put it together and isn't likely to at 29.

As far as the rest, I think we have three #2 or #3 WRs in Olave, Shaheed, and MVS (assuming he comes back). Olave is on the border for a #1 WR, but he would be a great #2. What we don't have is an all around #1 WR that can run all the routes and make contested catches. If we can add that, Olave can play in the slot and we would be pretty much so set. Of course all this is contingent on Olave getting healthy again and MVS signing a contract to play here past this year.

I'll also add that I did like what I saw from Means before he got hurt. Hopefully he can come back from the high ankle sprain and get more experience.
