Future WR core

Possession receiver's aren't the FOTM type of receiver right now. It's field stretchers with separation. It fits into the whole narrative of a vertical passing attack with a scrambling QB that can run the ball once the defense is stretched.

That's not Derek Carr nor am I making an argument against. Just saying that the odds of possession receiver falling in the draft are currently better then the odds of a field stretching WR falling in the draft.
Yeah arguably, for this offense, the wheels come off w/ out Taysom and or a downfield threat. That speed element is important. We’ll have plenty of it next year w/ guys getting healthy and improving but w/ our run vs pass splits usually in the 53/47 range, I’d say a RB might be more valuable and cheaper to get.

A legit 3 headed monster would be insane in this offense. Once a safety creeps up, if Carr has proven anything, it’s he’ll put a deep ball where it needs to be.

W/ the way Carr and this offense is playing w/ out an elite #1 it makes you wonder if we truly need to spend high Dollars/draft capital on a WR. Carr looks comfy spreading it around vs when he’s got Thomas or Olave unhappy w/ their # of touches.

The year he had Adams he got him the ball, but they didn’t win many games.

OL, RB, TE seem to be the best areas to get return on investment
