What More Must Taysom Hill Do Before He Retires To Be Considered An NFL Hall Of Fame Player?

Tasker was NOT a Utility player.

this is a HUGE stretch.

Tasker was an all time great special teamer 7 probowls and several all pro selection, but he was NOT a utility player.

He played TWO games ever on defense, at dime corner back, after a bunch of injuries, and one of those was against Warren Moon who LIT HIM UP. He absolutely did NOT "EXCELL"

He has 0 tackles on defense in his CAREER, no pass break ups, no interceptions. How is that excelling?!?! All he did was get burned by Haywood Jefferies.

He was absolutely 1-dimensional. He was a special teams guru.

Outside of special teams he did NOTHING of significance.
The fact that he was used as a utility player does mean something, even if it was sparingly and done mostly after other Bills players had been injured. I never said he was great at it or performed as well as Hill has, but he was used as a utility player during his era some times.

BTW, Warren Moon lit up a lot of opposing DB's. CB's, and secondaries throughout his long career in the CFL and NFL careers, some of whom (Rod Woodson, Kenny Easley, Steve Atwater, IMHO) are now in Canton or should be. Running essentially the "Greatest Show on Turf" run and shoot offense for its time with the Oilers pretty much ensured most opposing DB's and CB's were going to be burned alive by that offense. Warren Moon could make a lot of otherwise very good, or great secondaries look pathetic or ineffective.
