Should Saints pursue WR Tee Higgins?

Which is what we can get in the draft, but we still need WR and I think it's still better to go after Higgins to fill that need. We need so much in the draft that if Higgins is available, I think it's better to go after him versus using a draft pick on an unknown WR. Have some guaranteed money on the table and I think it would be easy to bring him in. He could cost a lot or it might not, but at least here, he would probably be that top WR as we move on from Olave (given his concussions).

Higgins is likely going to get in the $20 Million AAV range. I just don't think that makes sense for this team if we keep the same scheme and run the ball as much as we do and run so many 2 WR sets.

And you can get his kind of talent in the draft for much cheaper because college football turns out good to great WRs and high rate these days. I mean Higgins himself was a 2nd round pick. And there is a chance that Means develops into the X WR that we need. If we didn't have holes all over the DL, several other places, and little depth that we need money for it might make sense. But, at this point, that money would be better spent on a DT that can penetrate and stop the run, a pass rushing DE, or a starting LG. We could even use a starting Safety.

Finally, Loomis has been is cap cleaning mode for the past few years outside of the Carr contract so I don't think it's likely that they are going to put big money into a WR when they are still looking for a franchise QB.
