Except there is no guarantee how he would have reworked his deal with the Saints or if he would have at all. So it wasn't "bellyaching". It was the reality of the situations. Beyond that, we don't know the details of the deal and "voidable" is not the same thing as "void years". So, it could be a player or team options or a mutual option for a lot of money per year. Regardless, this team has no business giving up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for an older player who isn't exactly lighting the world on fire in N.Y.
Plus, since we did not have the cap space to eat Adam's contract for this year, we likely would have either had to do a different deal that pushed money into future years and/or had to give up a 2nd a maybe more to get the Raiders to eat the money on Adam's contract for this year.
