Earlier today, Ross Jackson brought this up on his podcast, with some interesting analytics.

There is a stat on yards given up by a defense in the run game OUTSIDE the tackles. The 3 worst teams are ( in no particular order) are DAL, Rams n Carolina. They give up 80 yds or more per game on outside runs.

The Saints ran for like 180 yds+ against DAL and in both CAR games!

The Rams? Just ask em about Saquon’s 355! 😂

But Ross QUICKLY added: Jus because Saquon did it, n we got 2 pretty good backs of our own don’t mean WE can do it too! ITS da NFL! And da Rams are prideful n professional! They’re gonna come in here mad as HELL, with something to prove!!!

So we better be PREPARED n READY!!!

They give up 80 yds or more per game on outside runs." This is due to the Rams not having the best inside LBer (Omar Spaights and Rozeboom) allowing access to the edge. And the Rams dont have the best CBs either. But my point is, that we have to win at the line to even get to the point to throw the ball or be able to run to the edge. Will our oline win their match ups? (I think we still need to prove that we can beat an elite group of d linemen)
