Aaron Glenn and the Saints: Smart Hire or Familiar Misstep? (merged)

I honestly don't understand the appeal of Glenn. When he was here, I didn't think the DB play was all that great; it actually seemed to get better after he left. I also question the overall defensive performance of the Lions during his tenure there. I know they have some injuries this year, but that performance last night AT HOME was an example of why I would be lukewarm on Glenn.

I don't know, maybe he's a master motivator and a rare example of a guy being a better head coach than coordinator?
