Meh...I don't think it's just this season. Goodell kicked off my apathy... with the bountygate sham followed up by one of the biggest no-calls in sports history. He single-handedly robbed me of the passion and joy I used to get every Sunday by watching the Saints. Then throw in Drew and Sean leaving...followed up by the DA hiring...and there was bound to be a letdown. I've asked myself several times over the past years what would spark my enthusiasm again and honestly I'm not sure. Maybe if we drafted some high profile QB who was also really good...I don't know.

Bountygate was a hit for sure. 2019 was what broke my fandom and I learned to never be that invested in this sport again. I still enjoy it and love the Saints, but they took something away from us that year. Add to that, I haven't had the feeling the Saints are going all the way since that season and its been a steady regression ever since. Hopefully we are close to the bottom and a new beginning. That the team can rise again soon and not be relegated back to the cellar.
