Anyone else question why did Carr leap?
Pearl clutching aside, this happens with mediocre teams and it’s why we struggle defensively in the 4th quarter
Teams with no margin for error have players who will push just a bit too much
They sense they need a big play (big stop, big first down) to secure the narrow win or reclaim momentum
They push just a bit too much
I’m pretty sure our tackling woes come from players abandoning their technique or trusting teammates and instead try to hero ball the tackle
More than likely Carr felt the win slipping away (during a game he knew he didn’t play well) and he was looking for that inspirational moment
He didn’t get it (unless that’s what inspired Breese to block that fg)
