Anyone else question why did Carr leap?

You're right. We've become just like any other fanbase. I remember a time when we were, or I just thought we were, better.

Our fans got pretty awful in 2020, for a variety of reasons......but namely, the whining about Drew Brees.

"B-b-b-b-b-bbut the deep ball !!!!", said fans who apparently didn't watch the 2015 version of Peyton Manning win a title. There's a reason we haven't been to the playoffs since Drew, injured and weakened as he may have been, was leading the charge. People always talk about the what-ifs of 2011........but for me, I legit think if we could have finished that drive late in the 3rd quarter with a TD to go up 14 instead of the Jared Cook fumble......then we somehow hang on, and have a possibility of finishing out that same run that the Bucs did. Both the Packers and Chiefs seemed ripe for the picking at those points. And as far as I'm concerned, we had the best player in the NFL at that point in Alvin Kamara.

But, on a brighter note........18 years ago yesterday is when Bobby Hebert coined the "Who Dat Nation" phrase, after the Saints destroyed the Cowboys 42-17 in Texas Stadium. He brought that up the other day after the Giants game, and I've heard him tell that story a few times before. And I do still think our live-attendance fanbase is still pretty awesome......which is something I've been told from numerous visitors to the Dome who said they loved being around Saints fans. Every time I went to the Dome, I always made sure to interact with some members of the opposing fanbase, and gauge their experiences.
